I admit that I'm a serial brooch converter, but every now and again a brooch needs to be a brooch.
This stunning bar of alternating cushion old mine cut diamonds (dare I even say Peruzzi) and pearls, in alternating yellow and white gold settings. This has been beautifully crafted, and wears so well in a modern setting. Along the neckline of a cashmere sweater, on the collar of a denim jacket, or clipped into your Albert chain as a clever extender.
I beleive this to have been made in the early 20th century. It bears a French owl import mark for 18ct gold, and features a trombone pin clasp, indicative of the period. The diamonds were likely cut much earlier.
Stamped and tested as 18ct gold.
Weight approx 4.85g
