Horseshoes are always on my sourcing list, and this gorgeous Edwardian example is set with 7 split pearls arranged as the nails would be in a real horseshoe. 
Considered to be lucky, horseshoes have been collected and used in jewellery motifs for a long time. 
Tested as 9ct gold (slightly rosy in hue)
