This piece was originally a brooch, most likely worn by a supporter of the Suffragette movement - the chain links are said to have represented the oppression of women and their right to vote.

The horseshoe, on this occasion worn downward facing, to allow luck to flow out onto those nearby, is set with beautiful split pearls.

We have added a modern 9ct yellow gold chain which can be worn at either 17" or 19".
