The pansy flower represents the thoughts of lovers, shared before a word is spoken. Named for the French word for “thought” pansee.
This example was originally an Edwardian brooch, enamelled in violet and white, with an old mine cut diamond nestled amongst the gold stamen.
We have added a 6mm jump ring using gold recycled from the original brooch.
Tests as 9ct gold.
Weight approx 7.07g
Total drop approx 36mm
Width approx 30mm
Diamond approx. 0.24ct (calculated in setting)
Good antique condition - there is some damage to the enamel at the edges, and some historic restoration has been done. This isn't obvious to the naked eye, and the piece is still stunning!
