Isn't this just mouthwatering? The intense Madeira citrine has an almost jelly-like quality as it is a buff-top cut. That is to say, the back part of the stone is facetted, and the front is a smooth, low cabochon.
These were originally cufflinks circa 1920, and the maker has added an Old European Cut diamond in a millegrain setting to the centre.
We have converted them, adding a 6mm jump ring, which will allow a dog clip to clip through with ease.
Tests as 9ct gold and platinum.
Weight approx 1.79g
Diamond approx 0.10ct (calculated in setting)
Total drop approx 20mm
Width approx 14mm
Excellent antique condition - some very tiny nibbles to the edge of the citrine, which are not easy to find.
