I couldn't quite decide whether this was a star or the sun, but I guess they are the same thing! 
Beautifully crafted by a Victorian goldsmith, this split pearl set brooch has a detachable pendant bale, making it really versatile. These bales were so often lost, but luckily this one is all together.
Stamped and tested as 9ct gold, which was gilded for a richer colour.
