We have taken a Victorian rose cut diamond arrow brooch, set in silver fronted gold, and added it to a flat edged belcher chain with a decent sized antique bolt clasp. I carefully select antique components to ensure that they work together, both aesthetically and practically, and this is no exception. 
 
Tested as 9ct gold and silver
