A gorgeous old oval rose cut diamond in a Georgian setting, crafted in silver fronted gold. We have converted this from a stick pin, though I suspect it was originally part of a larger more elaborate piece. 
 
Tested as 18ct gold and silver.
Weight approx 1.78g
Diamond tested as natural, earth mined diamond
Diamond measures approx 9.5mm x 6mm - probably around 1ct in weight, but these are tricky to calculate, especially in closed back settings. 
Total drop approx 22mm
Width approx 9mm
Very good antique condition with some patina.
