A girgeous cushion shaped old mine cut diamond is the main event here, there's no doubt, but a moment for the setting if you please. 
The diamond is delicately held by fine claws, and they inturn come together in buttercup setting. Take a look at the sides to see the chased design, it's just glorious. 
This was originally a Victorian brooch, but we have converted it into a pendant, using recycled gold to make the 6mm jump ring. 
Tests as 9ct gold (brooch was marked elsewhere)
