Victorians loved to use insects in their jewellery, and bees were a real favourite. They signify resilience and industriousness. They were also used as a little lovers code "bee mine".

This gorgeous little chap is set with chubby old mine cut diamonds, and some smaller rose cut diamonds, along with two tiny rubies for the eyes.

He was originally part of a Victorian brooch, and we have added a simple gold 6mm jump ring.

Tests as 18ct gold and silver.
